IT- Ciò che mi interessa indagare è la relazione tra natura e cultura.
Le modalità con le quali ci approcciamo agli ambienti naturali, producendo di conseguenza immagini, descrivono inevitabilmente l’esperienza che ne deriva. Dal più piccolo pulviscolo di polline, ai sassi di un fiume, dal volo di una farfalla, alle alte vette dei monti e ancora dalla comparsa di un arcobaleno, no al cosmo stellato, la natura si rivela cosa viva che agisce nello spazio tridimensionale. Nel mio lavoro, infatti, presto particolare attenzione alla forma e alla composizione dei materiali che utilizzo, siano essi poster di carta, polveri, libri, carte decorative o ceramiche. Intervengo su di essi, agendo con modalità quali l’accumulo e l’isolamento, la verticalità e l’orizzontalità, il gruppo in rapporto al singolo, l’apertura piuttosto che il desiderio di creare un luogo chiuso, facendo in modo che lo spettatore entri in relazione con gli oggetti che vivono nell’ambiente e si senta parte dell’opera.



Gianluca Quaglia (1978) vive a lavora a Milano.
Diplomato in decorazione presso la Scuola Superiore di Arte Applicata del Castello Sforzesco di Milano.
Ha collaborato con musei come il Mart di Rovereto, il Museo Bilotti di Roma, la Villa Reale a Monza, Palazzo Lucarini a Trevi, il Museo Asger Jorn ad Albissola (SV), il Museo del Territorio di Biella e il Museo di Scienze Naturali, Musei Civici Domodossola.
Il suo lavoro è stato esposto in Europa e negli Stati Uniti, con mostre a Roma, Venezia, Milano, Parigi, Lugano e New York.
Dal 2016 è curatore del progetto Idea Copernico di Milano, il cui obiettivo è sviluppare e sostenere collaborazioni tra artisti e artisti con disabilità.

EN- I am interested in investigating the relationship between nature and culture, by analyzing the modalities with which we approach the natural environments, producing images as a consequence, inevitably describe the experience that derives from them.
From the smallest dust of pollen, to the pebbles of a river, from the flight of a butterfly, to the high peaks of the mountains and even from the appearance of a rainbow, up to the starry cosmos, Nature is revealed as a living thing that acts in three-dimensional space.
In my work, I pay particular attention to the form and composition of the materials that I use, be they paper posters, powders, books, decorative cards or ceramic. I act on them, in ways such as accumulation and isolation, vertically and horizontally, opposing the group to the individual, the openness rather than the desire to create a closed space, making the viewer enter into a relationship with the objects that live in the environment and feel part of the work.

Gianluca Quaglia (1978) lives and works in Milan.
